Bangladesh on Monday saw 247 more deaths and 15, 192 news cases of infections in the last 24 hours.

The latest health bulletin of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) came up with this information on July 26 (today).

This is the highest number of corona deaths registered in a day since the pandemic began in the country in March last year.

The total number of corona deaths in the country now stands at 19,521 and the death rate stands at 1.65 percent.

So far, Bangladesh witnessed 11,79,827 cases of infections. The country, however, today saw highest-ever infections in a day.

Presently, the positivity rate is 29.82 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 15.72 percent.
